All the packet nodes at GB7NW are off air as of the 23rd June 2007. Due to a rodent problem at the site, the equipment has been removed. The proposal is to rebuild the nodes equipment and to make the cabinet which houses the equipment rodent proof! This will involve the building of a new concrete base. The nodes have been operating for some 13 years with very few problems, however, the time has come for a rebuild.
The RRG hopes to get GB7NW operating as soon as possible, however, this may take some months. Chris, G1YGY (Swindon) has a node operating on 432.675Mhz which has a link to GB7BA at Bampton.
